Trump vs. His Cabinet Nominees on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
No one voted to destroy Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Yet that is exactly what Donald Trump’s nominees are intent on doing.
In their recent Senate Finance Committee hearings, Rep. Tom Price reinforced his support for cutting Medicare’s budget by $449 billion and Medicaid by $1 trillion. And Rep. Mick Mulvaney explicitly endorsed raising the Social Security retirement age to 70.
This flies in the face of Donald Trump’s promise to protect these critical programs.
