My name is Beckett Kelly, and I am so excited to kick off my campaign for Lincoln Unified School Board District 3 and hope you will join me.
Lincoln is an amazing district, and I am so excited for my oldest son to start kindergarten in the district this fall. While there are some big challenges facing the district, we have even bigger opportunities to capitalize on. The new middle school opening in 2027 must provide the benefits to the community that were promised. As enrollment declines, we must work to shore up our budgets, protect crucial programs, and attract families to our district. And we must maintain our current facilities and ensure we provide the best schools for our students.
Let's embrace new ideas, like advanced CTE programs, partnering with local unions, trades, and businesses to expand career opportunities. At the same time, working to ensure schools are the best third spaces for our community.
My experience serving as Chief of Staff for Chair Sonny Dhaliwal at the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, and the relationships I have built over the last decade throughout our community, demonstrate I have the trust in our community to face these challenges head-on and bring fresh leadership to the school board.
