Tara Conte is a native of Yonkers. She moved to Eastchester in 2016. In 2018 she was elected to the Eastchester School District Board of Education. Tara currently serves as the liaison for the Anne Hutchinson School and prior to that the Waverly School. She is the Chair for the Audit and Board Policies Committee and serves on the Education and Community Relations Committees. She is an active member of the Greenvale PTA.

She has been employed by the City of Yonkers for nearly 20 years and is currently the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. She is a fierce advocate for people with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, and is a successful grant writer, who also handles staffing, funding and programming.

Her main goal in running for the Eastchester Town Board is to promote a sense of unity and transparency in government where all residents are represented. Tara recognizes that it is difficult to have a healthy debate of the issues at hand when the Town Board doesn't allow the public to watch or even participate in their meetings.
