MA Not for Sale

Join Massachusetts Is Not for Sale

Massachusetts Is Not for Sale is a growing alliance of drivers, delivery workers and organizations which formed to oppose efforts by Big Tech giants Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and Instacart to pass a ballot initiative which would permanently create a “second class” status for drivers, delivery workers, and other “app-based” workers in Massachusetts.

The ballot language would allow tech giants to pay workers, more than 70 percent of whom are Black, Brown and immigrant workers, less than minimum wage, make no contributions to unemployment or Social Security, and remove app-based workers from legal protections against workplace injuries, sexual harassment, and discrimination. Big Tech has even designed a specific loophole to protect themselves from liability to customers and members of the public for car accidents, injuries, and assaults.

Our Coalition has pledged to oppose the expected $100 million campaign for the exploitative, racially discriminatory, and deceptive measure funded by Uber and other tech giants. Last year, in California, the gig companies spent more than $220 million on a nearly identical ballot measure, Proposition 22, which a California court recently struck down as unconstitutional.

Can you contribute to our campaign to protect workers' rights and say no to Big Tech?
