Contribution rules
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
Contributions are not tax deductible. Contributions to Carolina Chavez for City Council 2026 are limited to $800 per election per person and $2,950 per election per organization. Contributions from foreign nationals/principals are prohibited (contributions from green card holders are permitted). State law requires that you provide your street address, occupation, and employer for reporting purposes. Contributions must be from the contributor’s own funds and may not be reimbursed by another unless disclosure of the true source of the contribution is made.
Carolina Chavez for City Council 2026 follows California Government Code Section 84308, which means that we cannot accept more than $500 in total contributions from a party, participant, or agent of a party or participant involved in any proceeding about a license, permit, or other entitlement for use that is pending before the City of Chula Vista and San Diego Association of Governments. This limit also applies for 12 months after the final decision is made.
