Happening in Oakland, CA, this first event in a monthly series on our mental health & wellbeing is about the comfort we deserve in a world on fire:

mental health practitioners
resources for emotional learning
grounding activities / self-regulation practices
transit support
comfort appetizers & a glass of bubbly

All at a bar & lounge with good music and community in a daytime social atmosphere.

Why bring that into nightlife?

If people can’t do this in nightlife, they sure as hell ain’t doing it in the daylight. We can build community with joy, everywhere, in everything we do.

Why are you focusing on events & nightlife?

It’s not enough for anyone to know the words and talk about it. We are putting discourse into practice where we live, breathe, and vibe.

We’re building community and expanding capacities via grown-up get-downs for the over-21 crowd.

What is that money for?

For every event we create, we are looking at providing:

transit support for disabled folks and those with transit & safety needs
food & beverages to ensure our community is nourished and food secure
distributing toolkits & resources on individual and community care practices
public health, mental health, and other professionals & experts to build knowledge and capacities
cultural curation & performances with fair and adequate compensation

This is about serving the basic needs of everyone in the community, expanding capacities, connections, and available resources, and elevating experiences from every corner of our community.
