Until ALL of Us Are Okay, NONE of Us Are Okay.

My mother often tells the story how, as a child, whenever we were fortunate enough to have groceries, I would sneak food outside to share with children in the neighborhood. Although she now laughs when she tells that story, believe me, she was not laughing back then. The first time my mom recounted this story to me as an adult, she asked me why. Why I would take what little food we have and give it to others? And, why I would continually do it knowing that I would be chastised. My answer to her was simple. I shared the food because, for me, it was not enough for me to have if others didn't have also. I did it despite the punishment because it was the right thing to do! My humble beginnings and fight out of poverty instilled in me the desire to live a life of service to others. It also fueled me with the courage to stand up and be a voice to those who are not being heard.

Until ALL of Us Are Okay, NONE of Us Are Okay. Prince William County’s future is brighter when we work together to better the future of our children, use smart economic development that brings jobs to our community, and build an infrastructure that can take us through the next decade.

A wise woman once said, the people closest to the pain should also be the closest to the power. Nowadays there is a lot of talk about ensuring that everyone has “a seat at the table.” For me, this is not about just speaking the right words; it’s about taking the right action to guarantee that the voice of EVERY resident in Prince William County, is echoed by our Board of Supervisors. This is why I am working to be “The Voice We Need for the Progress We Deserve!”

To be that voice, I need your help. In the coming weeks and months, I will be knocking on doors throughout the Coles District. Let’s begin the conversation, I want to hear from you. This campaign is about us and our shared belief that Prince William County is better when we work together.

Join the conversation. I need your voice, I need your support, and I need your vote to make Prince WIlliam County a place we can all call home.
