Donate to Chantel Jackson for NY State 79th Assembly District

Chantel Jackson is running to represent New York State’s 79th Assembly District. Her mission is to create laws that grant the best quality of life for vulnerable populations. Women, children, people of color, LGBTQIA+, elderly, economically disadvantaged, people living with HIV, undocumented, immigrant, uninsured and disabled people need change. W.H.E.N. (Wellness, Housing, Education, NOW) is the mission!

Chantel believes that her W.H.E.N. (Wellness, Housing, Education, NOW) mission will genuinely and totally transform her district into an even more healthy and wealthy community.

WELLNESS. As a licensed social worker for the Department of Education, she provides adolescents with services that focus on their mental, physical and spiritual wellness. The Bronx needs a legislature that cares about their wellness and will create policies that increase healthcare for all. Healthcare is a human right! Chantel wants to reduce high rates of diabetes, obesity, heart disease and asthma by addressing the environmental factors that are the causes for these issues. She wants to properly fund mental health services and increase insurance for uninsured and underinsured people.

HOUSING. Chantel will continue the fight of providing quality, affordable places to live and raise your family. New York State has passed some of the most progressive tenant protection laws, and Chantel will work to ensure they are being upheld in the Bronx. It’s imperative we increase home ownership to help create generational wealth. Chantel is committed to granting access and education to owning a home for residents in her district. It’s her goal to have residents revitalize their own neighborhoods.

EDUCATION. Chantel Jackson has worked in New York City’s public schools for over fourteen years. She knows first hand that EQUITY in EDUCATION needs to go from a great talking point to action items. Chantel wants to make sure the neediest school districts receive the funding owed to them by New York State. She wants to increase education in the RBCs; Real Estate, Business, Credit & Stocks. She also wants to increase access to the NYS TAP grant which gives students, like herself, a college degree that’s affordable.

NOW! It’s time to stop talking and start doing!
