In 2020, Durham held its title as the most Democratic County in the state of North Carolina, splitting better than 80%/20% in favor of Democrats in 10 of the 20 statewide races. We added 11,529 more votes for Biden over our 2016 margin. Your support helped our get out the vote efforts in this life-changing election.
What we did in Durham made a world of difference to our Attorney General, Josh Stein, who won his second term with a 13,623 vote margin. But it wasn't enough to re-elect Chief Justice Cheri Beasley - she needed just that last 500 votes in Durham County. We know we can get them - and we can win up and down the ballot in Durham if we keep organizing year-in and year-out.
