Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity

Donate to Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity

MASGD helps build community for LGBTQ+* Muslims in myriad ways. We create intentional, supportive spaces that honor all of who we are, such as through our signature event, the LGBTQ+ Muslim Retreat. We also create ways to connect through our digital programming. In spaces like conferences and interfaith services, we share LGBTQ+ Muslim perspectives.

Our mission is to support, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ Muslims. We challenge root causes of oppression, including misogyny, racism, capitalism, and xenophobia. We aim to celebrate gender and sexual diversity within Muslim communities and to promote an understanding of Islam that is centered on inclusion, justice, and equity.

Our work is critical to building connections for people living at the intersection of multiple, marginalized identities. As an all-volunteer organization, our work is made possible by the generosity of individuals like you.

Please consider making a donation MASGD and the LGBTQ+ Muslim community. Your tax-deductible gift allows MASGD to continue to create opportunities for LGBTQ+ Muslims to be represented, to find resources, and to know that we are not alone.

Thank you!

The MASGD Steering Committee

*We acknowledge that the term LGBTQ+ uses a Western cultural frame for understanding sexual and gender diversity. Many Muslims use other terms and cultural frames for understanding gender and sexuality. Language also keeps evolving. Our intention is to be inclusive.
