Independent Field Campaign for Larry Krasner (C4)

In the May 2017 Primary Election for District Attorney of Philadelphia, Reclaim Philadelphia and 215 People’sAlliance will be jointly running a volunteer field program to turn out voters for our endorsed candidate Larry Krasner. All donations are for C4 efforts.

In a crowded field that includes seven candidates running for the Democratic nomination, Krasner standsout as the most progressive. Krasner is the only candidate in the field who has committed to never seekingthe death penalty if elected. Throughout his 25 year history as a civil rights attorney, Krasner has gone toe totoe with the Fraternal Order of Police in a number of high profile occasions. Most recently, Krasnerconvinced the current District Attorney, Seth Williams, to stop allowing testimony from a group of corruptnarcotics officers on the basis that their testimony was unreliable. Additionally, Krasner has served as thedefense attorney for Black Lives Matters protesters who have been arrested in the course of exercising theirfree speech rights. For these reasons and more, Krasner has been strongly endorsed by Michael Coard, aprominent local African-American attorney and community activist.

Both 215 People’s Alliance and Reclaim Philadelphia are committed to the long-term project of buildinginfrastructure to win elections for progressives up and the down the ballot. To that end, this field program isfocused on recruiting volunteers to knock doors in the precincts they live and build ongoing relationships withtheir neighbors by having long-form conversations about policy and voting. These relationships will be usefulboth for getting out the vote for Krasner on May 16th, but also for winning future elections.
