Trump can't silence us
President Trump’s most recent budget proposal contained significant cuts to the USDA budget - $4.7 billion. That’s a 21% cut to the agency already struggling to protect our food supply and ensure corporations are in compliance with the law. The EPA? A 31% cut there too.
Your pressure forced Congress to push back on these draconian cuts in the just-passed spending bill to fund the government through September, but the President has different ideas for the next round. President Trump has even said the government could use “a good shutdown in September” in order to force his dangerous budget through Congress.
