Daniel O'Donnell for New York State Assembly

Strong, progressive and responsive representation is what Daniel O'Donnell has provided to the 69th Assembly District since 2003. From bring the first openly gay man elected to the New York State Assembly, to authoring the  marriage equality bill  New York State (and passing it 5 times in the Assembly before it became law), to writing the protection of gender expression into law for the first time through the Dignity for All Students Act, Assembly Member O'Donnell has been on the forefront equality issues of our day. For the past three years he has served as Chair of the Correction Committee where he has been a fierce advocate for prison reform. In the district he has secured funding for local groups that assist all members of his community from basic needs to the arts.
