Ward 3 Democrats Virginia Fundraiser

Goal thermometer

The Ward 3 Democrats are having a fundraiser for four progressive candidates for the Virginia House of Delegates (its state legislature).

WHERE: Coppi's, 3321 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008 (near Cleveland Park metro)

WHEN: May 30, 2017. Doors at 6:30pm, event starts at 7, ends at 9.

HOW MUCH: A minimum donation of $25 is requested. Donations will be evenly divided among the candidates. We prefer credit cards because they make it easy to split up the money, but if you wish to pay by check, please make out four checks, one to each candidate.

This race is in November 2017 – yes, 2017! In all of these districts, the GOP won in 2015, but Hillary won in 2016.

This race has national implications. If the GOP controls 34 state legislatures, they can hold a constitutional convention and rewrite the Constitution to embed their worst ideas into the very fabric of our nation. Currently they control 32 state legislatures, including Virginia. Tipping Virginia blue is essential to holding the line.

This is where YOU come in.

Please sign up and donate ahead of time. Donations will also be taken at the door by check or credit card.

ABOUT WENDY GOODITIS (VA-10)

Wendy Gooditis and her family have called Clarke County home for almost twenty years. She’s been an active member of our education and equestrian communities, and, like many of us, finds herself galvanized into action by the destructive politics coming out of Washington.

Now a real estate agent who works with people every day to help them attain their goals of home-ownership, Wendy worked in Information Technology before homeschooling the daughter and son whom she and her husband of 24 years, Chris, raised here in Clarke County.

The same values which prompted Wendy to earn her Master’s of Education at Shenandoah University, teach her own kids, and advocate for stronger public education will make her a strong voice for the families of the 10th District. She’ll fight to protect our public schools, our environment, and our human rights, and will fight to ensure access to affordable healthcare for all – including for those with mental health issues. Her campaign website is http://wendygooditis.com.
