Keith Ellison/Mike Obermueller

Keith Ellison, one of the most promising progressive leaders in Congress, is running for reelection in Minneapolis. He suggested we help turn Minnesota blue by doing a joint fundraiser for him with a neighbor he's enthusiastic about, Mike Obermueller, a progressive candidate running for the seat just south of Keith's district, currently occupied by right-wing Boehner crony John Kline.

We have a beautiful, very rare and collectible RIAA-certified Depeche Mode double platinum award for their classic album, Violator. Blue America will give the award away to one random donor who contributes to Keith and/or Mike-- any amount-- in the next week.

Minnesota rules: "NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Contributing will not improve chances of winning.  Void where prohibited by law.  Entries must be received by December 9, at 10am.  You may enter by contributing at or enter without contributing by sending a note to Blue America, PO Box 27201, Los Angeles, CA 90027.  One (1) winner will receive an RIAA-certified double platinum award for the album Violator (retail value is not known). Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.  All prizes will be awarded. All decisions of Sponsor are final.  Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the United States or Puerto Rico and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law).
