Tammy Duckworth has dedicated herself to improving the lives of our veterans. She knows we need to do better and she’s working not only to improve care, but also to alleviate other causes of depression and anxiety, including unemployment and homelessness. This isn’t just about our veterans – it’s about who we are as a society and as a community.
When Tammy’s helicopter was fired down in Iraq, her comrades refused to leave her behind. That commitment to community – to believing we’re all in this together, is the reason why Tammy has dedicated her life to public service. She embodies the value that we are strongest together, and that we – as a community and as country – must look out for each other.
Now Tammy is running for the Congress to bring her commitment to our nation’s veterans and her dedication to community to Washington.
