McCormack for Senate

Goal thermometer

I am Dick McCormack, and I am running for reelection to the Vermont Senate.

For the first time in my decades long career of public service in Windsor County, I've started a fundraising page. I've managed to hold off this long because my work has always spoken for itself - from being integral to the fight for marriage equality and GMO labeling, raising the minimum wageand passing paid sick leave. And, Vermonters trust my priorities moving forward - working for a clean, sustainable environment, pursuing greater economic justice, and protecting personal freedoms.

But this election is different. With an unconscionable candidate at the top of the Republican ticket, it is commonly known that Republican donors will instead be funneling money to down-ballot races. And with an opensenate seat in our district for the first time in years, we're going to have a real contest on our hands.

So I have to ask - please chip in what you can. If everyone gives a littlebit, we will have the grassroots support we need to fend off any massive mailings or online adsour Republican opponents may put up.

This is an exciting time in Vermont politics. I am proud to have receivedBernie Sanders' endorsement, and strive to carry on the movement of hope and justice he has begun.

But most of all, I am humbled by the encouragement of friends, neighbors, and Vermonters of all types as I once again seek to represent the people of Windsor County. I could not do this without you, and I am grateful for your support.

Thank you,
Dick
