Elaine Marshall was the first woman elected to statewide office in 1996 when she was elected Secretary of State. During her tenure, she has overhauled the office and has made it easier to do business in North Carolina.  

Elaine understands how important it is to travel the state and talk with voters.  She loves getting out there and meeting with North Carolinians who tell her personal stories about how their successful use of her office.  She loves traveling and meeting with old, and new, friends.
