Garlin Gilchrist II For Detroit City Clerk

Throughout his career, and especially in his most recent role with the City of Detroit, Garlin Gilchrist II has shown that he has the experience to overcome the challenges facing Detroit's next City Clerk, the capacity to work with people across the political spectrum, and the vision to deliver innovative solutions to the City Clerk's office.

Garlin Gilchrist II’s experience as a successful technologist, entrepreneur, community organizer, and policy maker have uniquely prepared him for this role. He wrote and implemented an executive order to make government information free, easy to access, and understand. He’s organized and trained advocates for voting rights and justice reforms across the country and in Michigan. And he is a creative problem solver who will aggressively use new tools to increase opportunity and fix the broken systems to make them work for everyone.
