I first met Hansen Clarke in the early 80s when we were both involved in representing the students of Cornell University. I was a member of the Student and University Assemblies, Hansen was a Student member of the Board of Trustees. Even back then, Hansen demonstrated unusual leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as dedication to justice and progress.
He has continued to develop these strengths working as Chief of Staff for PDA Advisory Board Member Rep. Conyers, as a leader in the Michigan Legislature, and in the US House of Representatives. During his term in office, Rep. Clarke worked closely with PDA's Economic and Social Justice team on signature legislation including Student Debt Relief.
