Greene County Democratic Central Committee (MO)

Jackson Day 2017

Join us for a fun-filled weekend full of progressive fellowship and inspiration as we start the march to 2018!

On Friday, April 7th from 5:00-8:30 PM, we will have the silent auction, hospitality rooms, a charity project, and informational booths for political and community organizations. The location for the Friday night activities will be at the Oasis Convention Center, 2546 North Glenstone, Springfield, MO.

On Saturday, April 8th, the day will begin with the Democratic Alliance Breakfast at the Oasis Convention Center. Included with breakfast, our featured speaker Missouri Democratic Party Chairman, Stephen Webber.

In addition to the meals of the day, there will be several seminars, trainings, and panels presented during the day to help make us better activists. CLICK HERE for the schedule. These are free and open to all.

The noon Sponsors’ Luncheon, included with your Sponsorship ticket, will be held at the Hickory Hills County Club located at 3909 E. Cherry Street. We are proud to present Julie Henigan as our entertainment. Please feel free to check her out!

There will be a Sponsor's Cocktail Reception at the Oasis Convention Center followed by the Jackson Day Banquet at 6:30 PM. At the Banquet, we will be joined by several Missouri Democratic elected officials, candidates, and our keynote speaker.

It is our pleasure to welcome as the 2017 Jackson Day banquet keynote speaker, Oscar-Nominated Actress,

Tess Harper!

She is an outstanding actor with a long-held connection to Southwest Missouri. She attended Missouri State University (then SMSU) and was active in Tent Theatre.  She would go on to appear in many films and TV shows including Crimes of the Heart, Tender Mercies, Breaking Bad, and No Country for Old Men. With 102 acting credits, she has a deep understanding of the entertainment industry. An active union member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors’ Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artist), Tess knows how attacks on union workers weaken the landscape for all workers.

The Greene County Democrats are excited to welcome Ms. Harper back to the Ozarks.

Please join us for this wonderful weekend!
