Jodi For Iowa

Goal thermometer

Asking for money and asking for help - few concepts in life can be comparable to the fear and hesitation that these two instill in us.  We live in a society where our problems are supposed to be our own and needing help is seen as a sign of weakness.  Since the moment I announced my run for Representative of Iowa House District 73, I have become more familiar with those feelings than at any other time I can recall in my entire life.  Yet here I am, asking for your help, asking for your support, asking for your time, your enthusiasm, your voice, your stories and struggles and as much as it goes against every fiber in my being to do so - asking you for your money.

There are few issues we are facing today that cannot be tied back to the influence of money in politics.  I plan to change that - through my voice, my enthusiasm, my passion, my intelligence, my empathy that threatens to consume me on a daily basis, and my persistence to take in the struggles of those around me regardless.  Change starts here, with our neighbors working together to listen to one another and solve our problems TOGETHER. This campaign is not about me, its about all of us, finding our voices - getting involved in our government, our communities, our schools and local organizations who desperately need our help and in uniting together with a positive message of inclusion, respect and fairness.  Indivisible we stand, we got this!
