During his first two terms in office, our Representative Kaniela Ing met our #1 goal to fully fund and begin building Kihei High School, spoke out to help pass marriage equality, curtail big money in politics, raise the minimum wage, repeal the PLDC, end smoking on beaches, expand voting rights, regulate SuperPACs, and label GMOs. He stands on this record to seek re-election in 2016 but faces his toughest challenge yet. Kaniela always fights for the people. That doesn't always jive with the special interests that have a stronghold of Maui politics. This is why industry establishment donors and big-monied Republicans have fielded and funded a big-money candidate to run against Kaniela in the Democratic Primary.
Kaniela shares your progressive values, and needs your support! Can you chip-in whatever you can, so that Kaniela can continue serving you?
