The EPA was formed and approved by Congress overwhelmingly because our nation understood that standing up for those who didn’t have the resources to take on big polluters themselves is what government should do. Too often we justify our actions in economic terms, but the value of environmental protection isn’t measured in dollars, it’s measured in lives. Protecting the lives of all our citizens, providing a platform for those without one, stand up for what is right, that is the mission of the Kansas Democratic Party.
