What does the LDC do?

The LDC is committed to making Lynchburg a better, more vibrant, affordable, and livable city for all residents. To make that happen we work to get like-minded candidates elected at all levels of government, especially those here in Lynchburg; we educate everyone about issues important to our community; and we strive to ensure all of our neighbors are able to vote.

How to become a member?

Joining is simple. We have instituted a "pay what you can" membership model. Your contribution serves as your membership dues for the current calendar year. Contributions to the LDC totaling $100 or less in a calendar year are not made public. If you select $8 and check "Make this a monthly recurring contribution", that would be $96 a year. Your contribution, regardless of size can be a single donation or a recurring monthly donation.

What do you get as a member?

Above and beyond our heartfelt gratitude, as a dues paying member you will be able to vote on LDC business, you will get some LDC swag (coming soon), you will receive our membership emails, and opportunities to attend the many LDC events - political and social.

How will your dues help LDC?

The LDC is one of a small handful of local democratic committees that have a dedicated office space that provides support for candidates, phone and door-to-door voter contact, voter registration, restoration of voting rights, absentee ballots, obtaining photo IDs, rides to the polls, yard signs, and maintaining part of the state party's voter data base. Your contribution will help continue this work and enable us to expand our reach throughout Lynchburg.
