You may have already seen the news: I was asked to leave the band that I have played with for years because I support LGBT marriage equality. It was a huge shock to me and was covered by the Philadelphia Inquirer's Tom Fitzgerald last week.
But being forced out of a band is nothing compared to LGBT couples being told their love is irrelevant and unsanctioned. Progress on this and other issues like education that impact Pennsylvania families every day must be our focus.
That’s why I’m not backing down. I’m as committed as ever to my support for marriage equality and removing discrimination from all our laws.
I also won’t back down on my music and playing the guitar. As I campaign across Pennsylvania, I’ll look for opportunities to play. Last week, I was able to play at Moondog’s in Pittsburgh. Check out the short video clip.
Please help me take equality to Harrisburg by contributing to our campaign today.
