Democracy Legacy Expands Targeted Congressional Races after Healthcare Vote

Democracy Legacy announces we are expanding the list of Congressional districts that we will be targeted for 2018 as a result of the healthcare vote that took place in the House on May 4, 2018. Previously we had announced plans to target a Top Ten list of vulnerable conservative seats. Now we intend to increase that number to at least twenty-four in an effort to fully swing the house from Republican to Democratic control in the 2018 midterms.

Democracy Legacy will leverage online media, volunteer outreach and traditional media to increase voter turnout. We provide more information about selected candidates we will support and mobilize their constituents. Some of our targeted areas require few votes to make an impact. For example, the 49th District in California currently occupied by Republican Rep. Darrell Issa was won by less than one percent. This healthcare votes further illustrates the importance of voting and we provide a platform to discuss how this Congress has been harmful to individuals and families.
