Margin of Victory Fundraiser

What a year! This is an exciting time to be a Democrat and for us it’s even more exciting to be young democrats.

Every election year we hear about the importance of young voters, but last year it wasn’t just hollow political commentary. The passion and values of young voters was unleashed in the 2008 election, but can we keep young voters interested in the political process?

We believe the answer is a resounding YES, but only with hard work and Peer to Peer outreach. The Sonoma County Young Democrats will be working hard this year to maintain and carry forward to 2010 the momentum we so richly benefited from in last year’s elections. By connecting one on one with young voters in Sonoma County on Democratic issues and candidates across the ballot, the Sonoma County Young Democrats are going to be heard this year.

As with everything in politics though, we need your help. Translating the Obama-induced excitement of young democrats into excitement for next year’s local races will take the dedication and hard work the Sonoma County Young Democrats have in abundance – with your financial support, we can make a difference now, and into the future.

Please join us and sponsor our first annual Margin of Victory fundraiser to be held at the establishment of 24 year old Molly Gallaher, “Upper Fourth” in Downtown Santa Rosa. We will be honoring local young democrats who have established themselves in Sonoma County’s environmental, business, and labor communities . . . and we’ll have a great time, too.

Sponsorships levels are $1000, $500, $250, and $100 and each sponsor will be recognized at the event. Tickets are $50. We hope you all can attend and meet the future of our party in Sonoma County.

The Margin of Victory fundraiser will be held on August 20, 2009 starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing into the evening at Upper Fourth, 96 Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa. Please, join with us to support and encourage young democrats – our future in Sonoma County.

Thank you for your support!
