“I Want Alan Grayson to Be My Congressman”

Today’s “30 Days to Victory” Moneybomb video is from former Member of Congress and progressive icon Pat Schroeder. Pat represented Alan Grayson years ago when Alan lived in Colorado, and Alan represented Pat after she moved to Florida. Pat juggled being a mother and a Member of Congress, sometimes bringing diapers to the Floor of the House. She was a leading proponent of the Family and Medical Leave Act, which requires employers to give employees unpaid leave for family and medical emergencies. Pat Schroeder’s memoir of her time in Congress is entitled, “24 Years of House Work . . . And the Place is Still a Mess.”
