Summer 2017 Candidate Training

Are YOU the future of progressive politics in Southern Arizona?

We are proud to announce that the Pima County Democratic party is organizing a comprehensive three weekend-long candidate training program this summer. Leading For Change (LFC), an Arizona non-profit organization who has been providing candidate trainings for over a decade, has been contracted to come to Tucson in June and July to help us develop our bench of candidates, and help ensure that our party can train up and field the best possible slate of candidates for local, state, and national elections. Here are the details:

6 all-day sessions, which will take place on three non-consecutive weekends in 2017: June 10 & 11, July 15 & 16, and July 29 & 30. Attendees should make every effort to be present for all six sessions; daily agendas are full to the brim, and there are no make-up sessions.

This program is open to all people who are thinking about or who have already made up their minds to run for office. Potential campaign managers should also enroll, as this program will be invaluable to them as well.

This will be three weekends of very interactive and in-depth trainings that prepare you to be confident and knowledgeable in what it takes to run for office. Topics include running on progressive values, message development and delivery, fundraising, campaign planning and budgeting, developing a campaign team, building your networks, endorsements and much more! Participants will graduate with the skills they need to be strong candidates, as well as the necessary tools to run an effective campaign.
