Donate to Rodriguez for Maricopa County Attorney

Diego Rodriguez has devoted his career to fighting for equality and justice for all in Arizona. His passion for the law stems from his belief that our criminal justice system is a great tool to fight for families and public safety with integrity, accountability and openness.

The grandson of farm workers and son of a single mother, Diego made his way from Casper, Wyo to the University of Notre Dame, receiving his undergraduate degree in Finance. In 1992, he arrived in Arizona for law school and upon graduation, immediately entered into public service as a prosecutor for the Pima County Attorney's misdemeanor unit.  His work alongside law enforcement officers and victim witness advocates taught him that every criminal case is an opportunity to do justice. As a prosecutor, he completed over 85 jury trials in just under four years, including felony DUIs, property crimes, drug crimes, violent offenses, and homicides.

Prior to entering private practice, Diego worked for various law firms including Snell and Wilmer, LLP and Hagens, Berman, Sobol, Shapiro, LLP. He handled complex litigation representing both and defendants plaintiffs in class action lawsuits, mass tort claims, wrongful death suits, and insurance claims.

In 2008, Diego started his own law firm, specializing in criminal and civil defense. He resides in Laveen and is the proud dad of 12 year old Adriana and 2 year old Aiden. As a father, and practicing attorney, Diego understands the importance of restoring and maintaining the public’s trust and confidence in the office of the Maricopa County Attorney.
