The party establishments have controlled Senate nominations for far too long. Vibrant primaries in the GOP have loosened the Republican establishment’s grip on the Senate. The Democrats need to move in the same direction— and free itself entirely of the influence of the fatted DC consultant class. Dan Osborn in Nebraska, Graham Platner in Maine and Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan are independent-minded populists who would make the Senate a far better chamber.
As for incumbents running for reelection, we'll only be endorsing the cream of the crop.
