Contribute Now to Women's Suffrage: A Gift from Men?

Goal thermometer

Today marks the 90th anniversary of Women’s suffrage in the United States. On this day, Tennessee became the 36th state to approve the ratification of the 19th amendment, which guarantees women the right to vote. Texas was the 9th state to approve the ratification.

The former chairman of the Texas State Board of Education, dentist Don McElroy has his own thoughts on the subject.

This is the same extremist board that considered removing Thomas Jefferson, Thurgood Marshall, and Cesar Chavez from sections of the social studies curriculum and Texas textbooks.

Dr. Judy Jennings and Dr. Rebecca Bell-Metereau are two experienced-Democratic women ready/determined to bring sensible change to the State Board of Education by taking politics out of the classroom, letting teachers and experts write curriculum, and preparing Texas students for college and a 21st century economy.
