Contributions or gifts to Jeff Merkley for Oregon are not tax deductible under federal law. Most Oregon tax filers may take a $50 per person or $100 per couple political tax credit. Married filers with adjusted gross income (AGI) over $200,000 and individuals with AGI over $100,000 are not eligible for the credit. Consult your tax advisor. An individual may contribute a maximum of $2,600 per election (the primary and general are separate elections). Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for each individual whose aggregate contributions are in excess of $200 in an election cycle.

Oregon offers an income tax credit to residents who contribute to qualifying state, federal or local political campaigns. The total credit is limited to $100 on a joint return or $50 on a single or separate return. Please see for details. Contributions to Friends of Mark Warner are limited to $5,400 per individual ($2,700 for the primary election and $2,700 for the general election) and federal multi-candidate PACs may contribute $10,000 ($5,000 for the primary election and $5,000 for the general election). Spouses (including legally married same-sex couples) may contribute $10,400 ($5,200 each) by one check drawn from a joint account and signed by both individuals.
