Help get Labor 411 to the DNC!
Labor 411 and
our latest campaign – Buy Blue -- are headed to the Democratic National
Convention to recruit more soldiers for the Ethical Consumer Movement we are
building! It’s all about creating more jobs – good middle class jobs that build
strong communities.
In Philadelphia, Labor 411 will be assisting convention goers in patronizing
more than 100 local union restaurants, businesses, theaters and other
entertainment venues. How? 6,000 True Blue delegates and another 4,000 members
of the media will be receiving the Philadelphia Labor 411 Entertainment Guide
in their swag bags. We also will be passing them out at our booth.
We'll be talking to folks about the educational efforts of the Labor 411 Foundation, too. The Labor 411 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that strengthens the middle class by educating the public on ethical consumerism and supporting socially responsible employers while advocating for good wages and benefits for all Americans.
Our goal is to reach as many liberal, politically astute convention goers as possible during the week so we may unite them around our Ethical Consumer cause. After the convention is over, we will call upon these folks to help us further support good jobs and patronizing high road employers who employ union workers in their own communities.
