This virtual national event is organized through the Empowerment Fund — a historic joint fundraising effort supporting the only four Muslim Members of Congress: Rep. André Carson, Rep. Lateefah Simon, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
Muslim representation in Congress did not happen by accident. Our communities spent years building the organizing power, visibility, and political infrastructure necessary to elect Muslim leaders to national office. At a time when Muslim communities continue to face political attacks, misrepresentation, and efforts to silence our voices, protecting the representation we have in Congress is critical.
