As a disability-led social justice nonprofit, 10 Minutes A Day provides direct assistance to members of our community in need. Today, we need help for our friend & teammate, Lauren.
Lauren, her spouse, & 2 young children recently moved to a new state. They live below the poverty level on 1 income because Lauren is disabled, has medically complex conditions, & can't work. After the expense of relocating, they were already struggling to manage.
Last weekend, they were in a serious accident that destroyed their only vehicle. Because they live in an area without extensive or easily accessible public transportation, losing their car means Lauren can't get to medically necessary appointments, the grocery store, or meet basic family needs.
Lauren's family had liability insurance only, because that's all they could afford, leaving them with no money to fix or replace the car.
She created a GoFundMe, where you can read her story in her own words & see a photo of the damage (link below).
With Lauren's permission, we created this page because ActBlue charges much lower processing fees than GFM, allowing more of every donation to Lauren's family.
Whether you can give $5 or $50, every contribution helps the family replace their only transportation & regain access to medical care, school, & other necessities. Every dollar donated through this page goes to Lauren & her family to help them recover from the accident.

Thank you for supporting a valuable member of our community & helping restore a critical lifeline!
