Goal thermometer

In the summer of 1990, recent high school graduate Raul Ruiz went door-to-door to local business with a contract: invest in my education and I promise to return as a physician and advocate.

And he did. With three graduate degrees from Harvard University in hand, Dr. Raul Ruiz returned to the Coachella Valley to work as an emergency care physician at Eisenhower Medical Center, the Coachella Valley's only nonprofit hospital. He also serves as a community advocate as the founder and director of the Coachella Valley Healthcare Initiative and a youth mentorship program where he mentors pre-med high school seniors to pursue careers in healthcare and return their communities to serve.

Today, he is running to serve his community in the US Congress, but he can't do this alone. Once again, it's going to take community and grassroot supporters like you to make this happen.

Be part of the 100 grassroot supporters here on ActBlue by donating a small amount – $5 or more – to support a committed public servant.
