An exciting late-breaking opportunity has come together for this Monday at noon, and I'm personally inviting you to my home to be a part of it.
I've had the pleasure of being friends with U.S. Senator Chris Coons since before he was first elected in 2010. He is a remarkable guy: If Democrats win back the majority this fall, he is the presumed next Chair of the critical Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He has a razor-sharp mind and wit, is equal parts dead serious about the work while being incredibly approachable, and you will not find a better person (along with Senator Shaheen!) with whom to have a lively Q&A about foreign policy (and whatever else is on your mind) over a bowl of my homemade pumpkin chicken chili and cornbread.
We will show Chris some New Hampshire political hospitality!
I am also excited to have my friend, and one of the best new candidates in New Hampshire I've seen in a while, Lisa Kennedy Sheldon, here on Monday.
If you haven't met her yet, I am confident you will leave as impressed as I am with her uniquely powerful combination of competence, wisdom, and empathy that comes from a career in nursing that has taken her around the world, to DC, and helping countless cancer patients in NH during their journeys. She is going to be a fantastic Executive Councilor.
RSVPs aren't required, but it will help make sure we have enough food for all you!
There is no cost to attend, and if you've been to our home for an event before, you know we'll make sure you have a great time.
Last minute attendees are fine, and I'll have some vegetarian options, as well!
Have a great rest of your weekend, and I hope to see you Monday.
Sincerely,
Steve
