In the 2016 election, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was decided by approximately 44,000 votes. While turnout was substantial across the state, the lack of energy and enthusiasm in urban areas was central to the eventual outcome here and around the country. Given the socio-economic impact of the Global pandemic, the current political climate in America and the pool of candidates running for the highest office in the land it is critical that community-based organizations are fully funded to do transformational civic engagement work in 2020.

This election year presents a unique opportunity to build a progressive voting coalition made of Black, Brown and young voters under the age of 40 mobilized by issues such as criminal justice reform, affordable housing, education, climate change and the pandemic. This voting coalition may not only decide who receives Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes, they could very well choose who resides in the White House on January 20th, 2021.

We are currently educating, engaging and mobilizing voters in a dozen counties in Pennsylvania. Your support will allow us to deploy our digital canvassers, virtual phone bankers and convene online town halls with young and diverse voters from across the commonwealth.
