Hello friends,
This year, the National Wear Orange Day is Friday, June 2nd and we'll be hosting our Wear Orange GG Bridge March on Saturday, June 3rd at 10:30am from Marin (and 10am from SF).
The Wear Orange Campaign was inspired by friends of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago student killed by gunfire just days after dancing in the President's Inaugural Parade. They honor her life each year by wearing orange — the color hunters wear in the woods to say "See me. Don't shoot." On June 2, hundreds of thousands of Americans will #WearOrange to show their support for a future free from gun violence. This year, Moms Demand Action is running our first ever Wear Orange fundraising campaign to support our work to elevate the voices of survivors of gun violence, our BeSMART campaign to promote gun safety and prevent child gun deaths, and our ongoing efforts to train more gun sense activists. Please contribute to support gun sense policies and invest in the women who will lead us to a future free from gun violence!
Thank you!
Jen
