TDW-GC's 2nd Annual Minnie Fisher Awards Ceremony & First Year of the Senfronia Thompson Warrior Award for Social Justice



Please join TDW-GC as we honor women warriors who dedicate their lives supporting social equality and justice.


This year, we are introducing the the 'Senfronia Thompson Warrior Award for Social Justice and Equality' to be awarded anually. This award not only represents the diversity among leaders social justice movements, but we see Representative Thompson as the shining example of change one strong and driven woman can make in the lives of so many.


We are pleased to announce that the first recipient fo the Warrior Award is its namesake, Texas Representative Senfronia Thompson herself.


Representative Thompson has dedicated her life fighting for social justice and change on behalf of women, children and vulnerable communities across Texas and beyond.


As the longest serving woman and African American in the Texas House of Representatives, she has harnessed her sense of justice and fainess into crucial legislation in the areas of criminal justice reform, women's healthcare, domestic violence, human trafficking and more.


We are also honored to announce this year's winners of the 2nd Annual Minnie Fisher Awards for their hard work in promoting social justice for women's issues in their own right.
