Standing Tall, Stepping Up!

Texas Democratic Women will meet in Convention February 7-9, 2020 at the Wyndham Garden Hotel & Conference Center, 3401 South I-H 35 in Austin, TX.


Friday evening convention goers are invited to partake of some light entertainment in the Lady Bird Lake Room. Our annual business meeting Saturday morning is followed at noon by the Star Luncheon where individuals and Chapters are recognized for their TDW-related accomplishments during the preceding year.

At the conclusion of the Star Luncheon, TDW will introduce Primary candidates who have RSVP's and are in the house and give them the privilege of about a minute each at the mic. Workshop sessions are scheduled at 3 and 4 p.m., and will conclude at 5 p.m.


On Saturday evening TDW will present the Dr. Mae Jackson Outstanding Democratic Woman Elected Official Award to State Representative Terry Meza. The keynote speaker will be Genevieve Van Cleve, Texas State Director of All on the Line. A reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the Gala Awards Dinner at 7 p.m.
