The people and policies we choose at the ballot box impact our daily lives in countless ways, and they determine how easy or hard it is to organize and win our other fights for justice.
The ability to vote for people and policies that respect Black lives has always been a matter of life and death. But this year, certain accommodations for voters are urgently needed to protect our health and our rights from the COVID-19 outbreak and increases in violent rhetoric and behavior targeting Black people. Our 2020 Voter Justice Agenda is all about protecting our lives by protecting our voting power.
If we want to build lasting power in this country, we have to protect our ability to vote for people and policies that are responsive to our needs. It’s critical that we help each other overcome barriers to voting so we can flex our full political power. Can we count on you?
