The 2021 voter suppression bill from the Iowa Republicans prohibits the Secretary of State or the county auditors (unless by individual request) from sending out absentee ballot request forms.
County parties are still permitted to send them out, though. We're looking to fundraise $20,000 to cover every targeted area in Polk County this fall.
We're also hoping to print ticket handbills for our doorknockers, reserve digital billboards, expand our textbanking operations and make sure our 24 voter registration stations are fully stocked with absentee ballot requests.
It will be all hands on deck to keep Polk County blue this year. Please be as generous as you can.
