Thank you for your interest in our 2023 Summer Dinner! Unfortunately, tickets are SOLD OUT. But you can still show your support by making a donation to the Polk County Democrats.
The Polk County Democratic Party is proud to welcome David Pepper as the headliner for our 2023 Summer Dinner on Thursday, June 29 at 6:00 PM at Willow on Grand.
David Pepper is a lawyer, writer, political activist, former elected official, and adjunct professor, and served as the Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party between 2015 and 2021.
Pepper has written four novels that bridge real-world politics and fiction—including A Simple Choice (Putnam, forthcoming June 2022). His first novel, The People’s House, earned praise for having “predicted the Russia scandal.” The Wall Street Journal named Pepper "one of the best political-thriller writers on the scene.”
Born and raised in Cincinnati, David is a fifth-generation Cincinnatian. David earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University, where he was Phi Beta Kappa, and later earned his J.D. from Yale Law School.
Books will be available for purchase and David will sign if you are interested!
We’ll also be announcing additional speakers in the coming weeks along with our Volunteer(s) of the Year, our 1932 Awardee and new this year, our Youth Leadership Recipients.
The dinner will be catered by Great Caterers of Iowa. All tickets include a buffet meal of a green salad, vegetable, two entrees, bread and a dessert. A cash bar will be available.
Any accommodation requests or dietary requests can be emailed to polkdems@gmail.com. This includes if you would like a Vegan meal.
Booths are available for purchase by Democratic candidates and issue groups.
Sponsorships are available at many different levels. All proceeds from the event will go toward re-activating voters and electing Democrats.
