The Orange County Democratic Black Caucus will host its 2024 Political Hobnob event at the Winter Park Community Center, 721 W New England Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789, on Friday, Aug. 9, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. This will be the most prominent social and informative event before the August primary.

The Caucus organizes the Political Hobnob event every presidential and gubernatorial election year. This event is a unique opportunity for our members and supporters to engage with qualified Democratic primary candidates vying to represent the Orange County area just weeks before the primary election. Candidates can purchase a small table to hand out literature. This cost is $75 per candidate.

"Information is a key pillar of the Black Caucus' Vision plan, and events, like the Hobnob, are just one way in which we mobilize around that vision to inform candidates and elected officials of priorities within the black community and underwrites our GOTV efforts," said the caucus president Timothy Ayers. Our board has been committed to that vision from day one.

At the end of the event, the Caucus will hold a straw poll for attendees to vote for their top candidates in crucial contested primary races. Attendees must be of voting age to participate in the straw poll. Guests are required to register for the event, which is available at a discounted pre-registration rate of $30 for members and $40 for non-members. After August 1st, all admission fees are $40.

Cash Bar at the event.
