We just concluded the 2023 Legislative Session, and I was honored to complete my third session as a Georgia State Representative.

It was my first time serving in Democratic Caucus Leadership as the Treasurer. It was an honor to serve the Caucus members and to help develop our policy platform for the 2023-24 term.

We filed legislation that would expand healthcare and affordable housing, fully fund our education, restore and protect fundamental human rights, and provide for common sense gun safety laws. Although our bills did not make it over the finish line this Session, it is very clear that when Democrats take control of the majority, we will provide an opportunity for every Georgian to thrive.

We fought hard against the regressive bills filed by the majority party that didn't align with our Democratic values and policy platform. And despite being in the minority, our hard work resulted in some wins!

As you know, we were unable to fundraise during the legislative session. Now that it is over, it is important that I start building for the 2024 Session and Primary Election.

I know it seems like it's a long way off, but in the blink of an eye -- candidates will begin qualifying next March. The best way for me to avoid having to spend money on a primary is to show I have financial support from folks like you.

It continues to be my honor to serve HD 52 and the state of Georgia, but I cannot do it alone. When we invest together, we have a better chance of effecting the change we want to see and the future we are proud to leave our children.

In order for me to be effective, I need to pay staff as well as monthly expenses for software, mail, postage and other office expenses.

There is a lot of work ahead and I'm up to the task! But I need your help TODAY so I have the resources I need to build my team.
