2024 Tennessee Young Democrats Constitutional Convention

The Tennessee Young Democrats are excited to be hosting our 2024 Constitutional Convention in the great city of Chattanooga. The Convention will be held the weekend of September 21-22 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Chattanooga. Located along the Tennessee River, Chattanooga is the fourth largest city in Tennessee. The last time TNYD held our Constitutional Convention was in 2016. Chattanooga is a fast growing city and is a key location for us to grow and expand in the region.​

The purpose of the Constitutional Convention is to allow all of our members to review and to propose revisions to our statewide Constitution. While our governing document maybe the main event of the weekend, but we offer workshops, trainings, and networking opportunities in addition to revising our Constitution.​ Registration and Check-In will start on Friday September 20th with an opening reception that evening. The following day will consist of workshops and caucus and committee meetings before we conclude on Sunday with amending our Constitution.

This is a great opportunity for you to connect with fellow Young Democrats from all over the Volunteer State, and this is a great opportunity to make our organization better for all Young Democrats. Our convention will be held at the Westin Chattanooga. We have a room block for convention with room rates beginning at $199 per night. We encourage folks to carpool and if possible, room up with one another. Please note there is road construction on several highways and interstates around Chattanooga, and so please factor in any traffic delays into your schedule.
