Wheelchair Van Program Transports Mobility Challenged Voters
THE PROBLEM: This ask is very simple and comes from the heart. In states where voter suppression efforts exist (yes all of them), a group of voters that are most impacted are being left out - mobility impaired. Donate now to help us rent enough wheelchair accessible vans to give these voters a Ride2Vote.
With mail in ballots at risk in many states, we are the only organization working year round to transport these voters in every election. No other groups offer wheelchair accessible vans for these voters, no one. That’s right, no one is servicing the transportation needs of mobility impaired voters, until now.
THE SOLUTION: The Rideshare2Vote solution is simple, we rent wheelchair vans and have our trained drivers complete the round trip Ride2Vote for these voters.
For this historic election we will have 70 vans on the roads in swing and battleground counties.
This service is costly to operate but is the only way many voters will be eligible to cast their ballots.
